TWENTY EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

1. Feast this Week:
   Thursday, 15th October: St. Teresa of Avila, Virgin &,Doctor
   Saturday, 17th October: St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop & Martyr
2. We thank all our Community Animators for organizing the Rosary in their respective Communities for the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
3. Today, Sunday, 11th October, Deacon Ivan has organized a Meeting at 7.30pm for all Youth who are Single and in the age group of 25 to 35. Youth in this age group are requested to please attend this meeting.
4. Mission Sunday will be celebrated next Sunday, 18th October. Hence, next Sunday there will be a Second Collection for the Missions. As usual, envelopes will be available for your donation to the Missions. Communities and Parish Groups are requested to put up stalls to raise funds for the Missions. Holy Family Community will be putting up a Stall this Weekend on 10th & 11th October. Don Bosco Community and the Sunday School will put up their Stalls next Weekend. Proceeds of this sale will go for the Missions. Please patronize their Stalls.
5. The Irla Unit of the Bombay Catholic Sabha has organized an Eye Camp by Dr. Kareeshma Wadia Jehan Eye Clinic on Saturday, 17th October in our Community Hall from 2pm to 6pm. Please avail of this facility.
6. The Senior Citizens of our Parish is organizing a Senior Citizens’ Fiesta on Saturday, 31st October after the Evening Mass. This is only for parishioners who are 55 years and above. A registration Fee of Rs. 100 is payable at the Parish Office or with any member of the Senior Citizens’ Association. Passes will be available with our Senior Citizens’ Members. Last date for registration is Sunday, 25th October.
7. The Family Cell of St Anthony’s Church, Vakola has organized a Non-residential Married Encounter Weekend on 14th & 15th November. Married Couples especially newly married couples are encouraged to attend this program in order to renew and grow in their relationship. Registration Fee is Rs. 1000 per couple. Please look up the Poster on the Notice Board.
